Hanbal Fahmy
He/him
Hanbal grew up in Dahab, Territory Egypt with his parents and three younger siblings. As the eldest child, he quickly learned to help at his family's restaurant. Cooking, washing dishes, and cleaning tables became second nature to him. When he was a child, the artificial intelligence known as the Mainframe sent microscopic technology to fuse with Hanbal's body.
In the late 2190s, he was recruited by the Antistasi to join the Sivylla—a group of other teenagers who the Mainframe fused with technology. During this time, the group discovered side effects of the technology: enhanced abilities. Hanbal discovered that his was enhanced charisma. It resulted in most people being attracted to him and everyone wanting to please him. Although it was nice for the restaurant business, he didn't like that he changed the opinions of the people around him. After the Mainframe events, he returned to Dahab.
At the beginning of "Death's Mending Touch," Hanbal was running the family restaurant in Dahab. He didn't talk about having enhanced charisma, but he didn't mind using it to encourage people to leave positive reviews for his restaurant. When the deceased Bian appeared around the world, the Antistasi called Hanbal and the other Sivylla together to address this. After reuniting with Bian, the group decided to work with the Antistasi part-time under a new team name: the Enforcers.

Appearance
Hanbal was born a human. He was a Brown and East Asian trans man. His recent ancestry was primarily Egyptian and Mongolian. He had a slanted knife scar on his left cheek from when he played around with kitchen knives as a kid.
In "Death's Mending Touch," he kept his long, dark hair up in a ponytail. He kept his fingernails trimmed to decrease chances of food and dirt staying under there. He wore casual clothing incorporating muted colors. He wore a binder as often as his chest could tolerate it.
When he wanted to know the actual opinions of people he cared about, he would put on a mask. Without being able to see his expression, other people wouldn't discern what he wanted as easily, so his capability decreased in effect. His go-to mask was a cartoonish black mask with white pixels that followed his expressions loosely.
Personality, Behavior, Et Cetera
Hanbal acted like he never had time for anything, yet he managed to make time for sarcastic quips. No matter how rude he acted, his capability forced other people to be charmed by him. As annoying as the capability was, he mostly tried to not think about it.
In "Death's Mending Touch," he wasn't on hormones yet. He wore a binder when he could get away with it and still got period cramps, which were too dysphoric for his taste. He was pansexual, but he was worried that his capability would take away someone else's consent, so he didn't have sex.
He was Mononousian because his family was, but he didn't care to practice the religion much.
Relationships
When Hanbal was recruited for the Sivylla group in his teenage years, he admired Corelai for how steadfast she was. He looked up to Inna for how sarcastic they were and started emulating their humor.
As of "Death's Mending Touch," his familial love language was bossing around his family at the restaurant. They didn't hesitate to make fun of him for it, which he appreciated.
Hanbal enjoyed working with Armando and Quito to make food, especially since they reminded him that he didn't have to keep moving so efficiently when he was in a social setting.
