Quito Marasigan
He/him
Quito grew up in Baguio, within the Philippine Region. He had four parents and five siblings. He was the fifth child, hence his name. When he was a child, the artificial intelligence known as the Mainframe sent microscopic technology to fuse with Quito's body.
In the late 2190s, Quito was recruited by the Antistasi to join the Sivylla—a group of other teenagers who the Mainframe fused with technology. During this time, the group discovered side effects of the technology: enhanced abilities. Quito discovered that his capability involved communicating with other species. He understood and could respond to all kinds of creatures, from birds to fish to bugs. After the Mainframe events, he returned to Baguio.
At the beginning of "Death's Mending Touch," Quito spent time with his family—including his adopted baby daughter—and took care of several animals. He didn't hide his enhanced capability, so he was well known as an animal whisperer. When the deceased Bian appears around the world, the Antistasi called Quito and the other Sivylla together to address this. After reuniting with Bian, the group decides to work with the Antistasi part-time under a new team name: the Enforcers.

Appearance
Quito was born a human. He was a Black, 4'1" man with dwarfism. His recent ancestry was primarily Spanish and Filipino. His eyes were dark brown. As of "Death's Mending Touch," he had short, coily hair that he tended to let grow out a bit. He tried keeping his wardrobe as simple as possible and ready for various types of weather.
Personality, Behavior, Et Cetera
Quito was so sociable, it would be difficult to not talk with him. He could find anything to talk about, especially with how wide his interests stretched—including archery, cooking, swimming, gardening, and reading (especially audiobooks).
He didn't seek out crowds, but he was happy around a bustling group of people he knew. Working in the kitchen, playing games, whatever—it was all fun if he was around people he enjoyed being around. It was even better when his surroundings were accessible like his house.
With the help of his animal friends and the trades he made with them, he was able to sustain living at his house without worrying much about money. He appreciated the extra time it gave him to take care of his adopted child.
Relationships
Growing up, Quito was never alone. He was always crammed into one of two houses, spending time with his four parents and five siblings. As annoying as his siblings could be, he liked their presence over being alone.
When Quito was recruited for the Sivylla group in his teenage years, he connected with Inna, who had a love for sea creatures. He started learning to scuba dive and to sign in Ukrainian Sign Language so he could tell Inna what the sea creatures were saying while she dived.
As of "Death's Mending Touch," Quito saw his family almost every day. His animal friends and allies didn't ever let him feel lonely. When he found a baby girl abandoned on a street, he tried helping find her parents or a place for her to go. From what he found, he realized that she might have been best off growing up in his care, especially since his animal friends and his family were willing to help so much that they acted like they were the parents.
When he reunited with the Sivylla, he still felt connected to Inna in particular. With how rooted his life was in Baguio, he didn't want to develop a crush on Inna, who lived so far away. But it didn't help that Inna let down their walls around him and lit up so much when Quito put even the littlest effort into signing.
