Lihn "Valerie" Bian

Bian grew up in an orphanage in Chongqing, within the Southeast Asian Region (which is larger than the countries considered in Southeast Asia today). When she was a child, the artificial intelligence known as the Mainframe sent microscopic technology to fuse with Bian's body. She grew up feeling disconnected from people.
In the late 2190s, Bian was recruited by the Antistasi to join the Sivylla—a group of other teenagers who the Mainframe fused with technology. During this time, the group discovered side effects of the technology: enhanced abilities. Before she was recruited, Bian discovered that her capability was intuition so strong that she could sense the future. While the Antistasi attempted to recruit her, Bian foresaw a bullet that would hit Corelai's heart—which would have prevented Klavdiya from healing her. Seeking to leave an important impact on the universe, Bian took the bullet for Corelai and died. After the Mainframe events, the Sivylla dispersed around the world.
By the beginning of "Death's Mending Touch," Bian woke in the mortal realm with no memories of who she was. She had the capability to shadow travel—to go from place to place through shadows. She also had a notepad that could grant minor wishes. Her intuition told her to travel the world and execute bad people in certain cities to find her family. She bombed bad people in the hometowns of all the Sivylla. This results in the Antistasi calling the Sivylla together. After the group reunited with Bian, they all agree to work together part-time with the Antistasi under a new team name: the Enforcers.

Appearance
Bian was born a human. She was an East Asian woman. Her recent ancestry was primarily Vietnamese. As of "Death's Mending Touch," she was 5'2" and thin. She kept her hair short with thick bangs. She was born with black hair with pink streaks in it. She preferred wearing muted tones of cool colors, pink, gray, and black. She had dark brown eyes. She wore glasses with thin frames and round lenses.
Personality, Behavior, Et Cetera
Bian enjoyed being a mischievous friend. Although her resting face tended to be flat, she lit up as soon as she started talking with someone she knew. She longed to connect with other people.
Her favorite conversation topics tended to be around books. If she wasn't drinking coffee, she was reading. If she wasn't reading, she was showing up unexpectedly to startle the Sivylla/Enforcers.
In her childhood, she was depressed and suicidal. It was a steady process to recover from, especially since she died young. The Sivylla/Enforcers help her feel stabilized in her new life.
Relationships
When Bian was a baby, her family moved from the Vietnamese Territory to the Chinese Territory, intending to escape the coastal weather. But when Bian's parents died during travel, she was placed in an orphanage. She wasn't adopted.
When the Antistasi tried to recruit Bian, the first Sivylla she met was Klavdiya.
In "Death's Mending Touch," Klavdiya was the first Sivylla/Enforcer Bian met again. Bian initially followed Klavdiya like a duckling. The more friends she met, the more connected she felt to others. She particularly took a liking to Tera.
