In the 2200s, Alexis was adopted as a child by Dix and Aru. She grew up in Houston, T-Territory with her parents and aunt Tera. Although her upbringing involved an abundance of technology and wealth, she grew up preferring nature and few possessions.
In 2216, a humlux spaceship crashes near the rural family cabin. Alexis helps Kiran, the humlux in the spaceship, recover. During this time, they fall in love. In 2223, they chose to have a child together. With the help of her parents' wealth, Alexis and Kiran pay a lab to create their daughter, Caitlee.
Although she hopes to raise Caitlee to connect with the Earth, Alexis' parenting methods don't mix well with Caitlee's personality. Given how natural it is for plant seeds to journey far from the plant they originated from, Alexis and Kiran are somewhat accepting of the idea of Caitlee growing up distanced from her parents. As of "When Truth Cowers," Caitlee and Alexis still don't see eye to eye.
Appearance
Alexis was born a human. She was an East Asian Amalrican woman who was born in Japan. At the beginning of "When Truth Cowers," she had dark brown hair that was cut just beyond her chin. She prefered having a small closet full of thrifted clothing. She didn't mind dirt stains or other signs of wear on her clothes. Her favorite coat was a long, green one.
Personality, Behavior, Et Cetera
Alexis was strong-willed and believed in advocating for the planet's health. She disliked opulence and prefered keeping few possessions. Nature was her home, despite largely having grown up in a skyscraper. Although she tended to have a tough love kind of exterior, she genuinely cared for her family. Her favorite color was green.
She was pansexual. Don't ask about how it works between a humlux and a human.
Relationships
At the beginning of "When Truth Cowers," Alexis was in a committed relationship with Kiran. Despite trying not to be too opinionated around Caitlee, she was a stern mother. Although she thought her parents (Dix and Aru) were a little too obsessed with technology, she often enjoyed talking with them over videochats. She had a somewhat strained relationship with Tera because Caitlee listens more to Tera.
