In the 2220s, Eric grew up moving from place to place with his parents in NE-Territory. He gleaned discipline from his mother—a soldier who maintained and controlled robots in conflict. He was mostly raised by his father. Growing up seeing injustice around him, he was determined to earn a political science degree to understand the political game and a business degree to play the political game. He primarily attended Darilek University off of scholarships. He applied for Truth or Dare to earn money to pay off his student expenses.
In "When Truth Cowers," Eric was cast on the broadcast game show Truth or Dare. He befriended other players—Cai, Analisa, and Daraja—during the game. After kissing Lian on a dare, he fell hard.
Although the round of Truth or Dare began as dramatically as usual, the players soon found themselves being killed one by one. As it was technically legal and the producers found a live murder mystery compelling, the players were forced to stay in the game until the end.

Appearance
Eric was born a human. He's a white guy whose recent ancestry is primarily Amalrican and French. In "When Truth Cowers," he was muscular and 6'0" with blue eyes. He worked out often for fun and to prepare himself for an emergency that would require strength. He had short, wavy, brown hair. He had a bit of acne on his forehead.
Personality, Behavior, Et Cetera
Eric was comfortable acting like he didn't take things seriously, but his tone quickly shifted to serious when talking about topics he was passionate about. He tried to learn a balanced amount of information from different subjects, but he took particular interest in technological developments and law. He was also quite protective of those he cared about.
The ultimate deciding factor for why Eric pursued a degree in political science was after the police framed his cousin for a car accident she wasn't at fault for. His cousin became permanently disabled when a drunk driver hit her. Because the drunk driver was a friend of the police, the police covered up the blame by saying Eric's cousin was drunk and consented to a breathalyzer test—although she couldn't have consented due to being unconscious for days after the accident. The accident also resulted in a ton of stress and paperwork for Eric's father and aunt. Eric hoped to understand systems well enough to prevent incidents like this.
He loved cheesy romantic pop songs. He was gay. He was also left-handed.
Relationships
At the beginning of "When Truth Cowers," Eric had a close relationship with his father. Although he cared for his mother, he hid his resentment for her not being around for most of his childhood.
He had friends in college, but he connected more to the friends he made in Truth or Dare: Cai, Analisa, Daraja, and Lian. Eric eventually dated Lian.
